Volunteers
International Volunteers This programme provides an opportunity for young and old, men and women to step out of their own society and culture and be immersed in a different culture. Volunteers from any part of the world are invited to be part of the FI experience. Participants can apply to be involved in any of our member countries:
please see our ‘where we are’ page.
Participants are expected to cover their own costs for room and board and hence duration of stay is determined by the participant’s affordability.
The objectives of this programme are:
- For one to have a different cultural experience outside their own social and cultural milieu.
- To foster individual Spiritual and Cultural growth.
- To contribute to the work of Family Impact and to be part of what is happening in furtherance of the kingdom.
So come and be part of the Family Impact experience……….
Story “My name is Chantelle G Moyo and I’m 20years of age. I have been a Family Impact volunteer in the Life skills Department since October 2007. Being part of the life skills team has served as an eye-opener as to who I really am, especially when we go out to camps and I have to decide between being at home with my family and friends or being out at a camp making a positive impact to many different kids out there. I have grown in most parts of my life especially spiritually through the Family Impact daily devotions and the time that we spend in prayer as a department and most of all as a team. The team does not really comprise of similar characters, interests, strengths so to get the job done I’ve leant to first tolerate and then to appreciate the different people who form part of the team for who they are and for their input in the team. In a nutshell I have acquired skills that will not only benefit my input in the Life skills team but it will benefit me as an individual even when I’m no longer part of the team-its been awesome.”"I thank God for great achievements this year (2008). We saw Him using us to touch many lives. The highlight of the year for me was visiting a school in Gweru (city in Zimbabwe). We had a great time and lives were changed and that to me shows growth and expansion of the ministry, that its not just about Bulawayo only. Being a volunteer with Freedom Unlimited has changed my life. I thank God I am part of this ministry.” – Philani (Volunteer) |
